About Project
When Memorial Health’s website build with another agency failed mid-project, they were left with limited budget, strained timelines, and a half-finished site. I was brought in to salvage the project, gather the necessary resources, and deliver a workable solution. Working within the constraints, I implemented a streamlined Bootstrap-based WordPress build to get the site launched quickly and ensure stability. While the site is now six years old, it has remained a reliable and efficient digital presence for Memorial Health thanks to our ongoing partnership and my commitment to maintaining and optimizing it over time.

Being a small non profit hospital the budget to build the site was small. It initial incompletion sunk major costs. Salvaging the build was worth large amounts of the budget.
To make Memorial Health’s website more useful for patients, I implemented custom search tools on both the back-end and front-end. These tools are built using PHP and WordPress hooks. The front-end delivers results via AJAX requests leveraging the jQuery library. This technology, though out of date now, has been continually updated and maintained by Memorial Health and myself. This works within the constrains of a limited budget and mitigates risks for non technology companies migrated to non battles tested technologies.
The website leverages Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) in WordPress to provide a tailored editing experience for content managers. By structuring content through ACF, I was able to balance flexibility with control—allowing editors to easily manage doctors, services, and location content without touching code, while maintaining the integrity of the custom design and theme. This approach ensured a professional, consistent front-end presentation while streamlining day-to-day content updates for the client.
